About the event
Get ready to dig into creativity in this joyful 2.5-hour workshop where children design and decorate their own terracotta flower pot and create a matching plant marker! This session blends imaginative design with hands-on craft as kids transform plain pots into bright, bold, and beautiful works of art.
Using paints, beads, stickers, and other fun embellishments, each child will decorate their pot with patterns, characters, or nature-inspired themes—drawing inspiration from artists like Yayoi Kusama (famous for her dots and bold colours) or Clarice Cliff (known for her colourful ceramics). We’ll also use acrylic pens for fine details like names, quotes, or funky patterns.
Children will also create a custom plant marker using wooden lolly sticks or clay—perfect for labelling a real plant, herb, or even a pretend flower arrangement. They’ll leave with a unique keepsake they can proudly display at home or give as a gift.
Please dress for mess and bring a nut-free snack. The workshop address will be shared upon booking.
