At Starty Arty, we believe that every child has a spark of creativity just waiting to shine. Run by a highly experienced art teacher with over 18 years of expertise, our lessons and workshops provide a warm, friendly, and encouraging environment for children to explore their artistic potential.
Children will have the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of art styles and work on exciting projects. These sessions are designed to develop skills, boost confidence, and foster a lifelong love of art—all while having plenty of fun! Held in Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells and in the comfort of a home setting, Starty Arty is a place where creativity flourishes and every child feels inspired to create.
Easter Workshops!
This Easter, children aged 6-11 are warmly invited to join us at Starty Arty for a series of thoughtfully designed art workshops in our cosy Rusthall studio. Each session offers a peaceful space to create, explore new materials and build creative confidence — all within a small, nurturing group (limited to just 8 children per session).
From sculpting clay animals to painting on canvas and designing personalised projects, every workshop is carefully planned to feel special, inspiring and unhurried.
Children can join us for a morning workshop, a relaxed afternoon Art & Craft Club, or enjoy a full creative day immersed in art.
Class Schedule
Term Time Classes
Our classes run during term time, with a maximum of 7 children per session (ages 6-11). This small group size ensures a focused, personalized approach, allowing each child to thrive. Designed to nurture creativity, our classes help children develop at their own pace and according to their unique abilities. We offer classes for homeschooled children and after school, we also have Saturday classes. Visit our bookings page to reserve your spot.
Art
Art plays a vital role in nurturing self-expression, building confidence, and developing problem-solving skills, making it an invaluable experience for young minds.It encourages creative thinking, promotes emotional development, and provides children with a platform to communicate their thoughts and ideas.
Our art classes inspire creativity as children explore a variety of techniques and mediums—from painting and mark-making to textiles, printing, and 3D sculpture—all while discovering the works of inspiring artists. Each term is an exciting journey of imagination and growth, where they develop ideas and craft unique masterpieces.
Craft
Crafting is a wonderful way for children to express themselves, build patience, and experience the joy of achievement, all while growing their confidence and imagination. At Starty Arty Craft Club, young makers immerse themselves in exciting activities like painting, papier-mâché, sewing, and creating items such as friendship bracelets, beadwork, and collages.
They’ll also explore crafts inspired by global traditions and learn about influential artists and designers, sparking curiosity and creativity. Each session combines hands-on exploration with skill-building, enhancing fine motor coordination, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Every project is an opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun in a warm and encouraging environment.
Sit 'n' Sketch
Sit 'n' Sketch is a peaceful, creative club where children can develop their drawing skills while exploring a variety of media, including pencil, charcoal, pastels, and ink.
After learning foundational techniques such as shading, perspective, and proportion, they’ll be encouraged to create their own unique artworks, expressing their ideas and imagination.
This quiet, focused environment allows children to hone their observational skills, build confidence in their abilities, and discover the joy of drawing at their own pace. Whether sketching still life, nature, or imaginative creations, Sit 'n' Sketch is the perfect opportunity for young artists to unwind, develop their talents, and explore the art of drawing.
