Starty Arty Studio

Welcome to the new Starty Arty Studio at Langton Green Pavilion.

The Starty Arty Studio is a separate studio space within the Langton Green Pavilion building, next to Langton's Café.

Please take a few minutes to read the information below before your child's first session so that drop-off and collection run smoothly and safely.

Drop Off

Parents and carers should accompany their child into Langton's Café and through the door on the left, next to the large TV.

Follow the corridor and the Starty Arty Studio is the first door on the left.

Please make sure your child is safely handed over before leaving.

If someone other than the parent/carer will be collecting your child, please make sure I have been informed in advance and that the person is authorised to collect them.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of the session, where possible, so that sessions can start on time.

Pick Up

Monday Home Ed Art & Saturday Art - please come to the Studio via the cafe to pick up.

Art 5:15pm and Saturday Sketch & Create

At the end of the session, I will bring all the children out of the Starty Arty Studio and down the corridor to the designated collection point by the fire-exit area.

Please wait at this collection point to collect your child, as Langton's Café may be closed at the end of the session.

Pick up important info

The children will remain together with me while they are waiting to be collected.

I will release each child individually to their parent/carer or another adult who has been authorised to collect them.

Please make sure you arrive on time to collect your child.

If someone else is collecting your child, please let me know in advance. I may ask an unfamiliar collecting adult for identification before releasing a child.

Important info

Parking

There is parking available at Langton Green Pavilion.

Please take care when parking and when walking children from the car park to the building.

Before the Lesson

Please make sure your child:

Has been to the toilet before the session.
Has had something to eat beforehand, as snacks are not permitted during regular classes.
Has everything they need for the session.
Is wearing suitable clothing for art activities, as some materials may stain.

Please also make sure that any relevant medical, allergy or additional-needs information has been provided when booking.

If your child requires any medication or specific support during the session, please let me know in advance.

Running Late?

Phone reception at the Pavilion can unfortunately be unreliable.

If you are going to be late, please call or WhatsApp me as soon as you know.

Please be aware that I will not normally be able to answer calls while I am teaching. If I don't answer immediately, please send a WhatsApp message and I will respond as soon as I am able to do so.

If you are running late to collect your child, I will bring them back to the Starty Arty Studio with me while we wait. I will try to contact you using the details provided. If I am unable to reach you, I will contact your emergency contact.

If I am unable to contact either you or your emergency contact, and there is an ongoing concern about your child's collection or welfare, I will follow the appropriate safeguarding procedures and seek further advice or assistance where necessary.

Late collections may incur a fee in accordance with the Starty Arty Terms and Conditions.

Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of the children attending Starty Arty is my priority.

Children are supervised throughout the session and remain in my care until they are collected by their parent/carer or an authorised adult.

For collection, all children leave the studio together with me and wait at the designated collection point. Children are not permitted to leave the collection area independently.

In the event of an emergency, I will follow the Pavilion's emergency procedures and ensure that the children in my care are safely evacuated and supervised.
